The beer is the star of the show at Around the World in 80 Beers in Liverpool, as the name might
suggest, but the food is worth the visit too. Housed in the unique Bierkeller Complex in the Liverpool
One area this hugely popular concept bar is one of four exciting venues under one roof. The idea is
to sample beers from around the world, gaining a sticker in a passport for each one enjoyed. Once
the passport is complete, the holder benefits from various free drinks, food and discounts.
Beer isn’t the only thing on offer at Around the World in 80 Beers though; they serve a pretty hot
menu too. Also spanning the globe, the menu features the usual food to accompany a beer such as
hot dogs, burgers, pizzas and chicken wings but also offers some rather interesting world dishes too.
The Caribbean red snapper curry is well worth a shot whilst the Louisiana gumbo is filled with
flavour. German Bierkeller classics such as the huge bratwurst sausage or the enormous pretzels are
also popular choices.
This buzzing establishment is also home to one of the largest beer gardens in the city, shared of
course with the three other venues under the Bierkeller Complex’ roof. Summertime sees crowds of
people chilling under the sunshine and enjoying a few beers from around the world accompanied by
great food.
Around the World in 80 Beers is a hotspot for drinking and dining in Liverpool and it comes as no
surprise to learn that there are more branches throughout the north of England.
