With two AA rosettes under its belt, The Dobson Restaurant is not resting on its laurels. Instead the food continues to be innovative, fresh and full of flavour. The menu of European cuisine reflects the seasons and changes accordingly. There are British classics like a tasty starter of ham hock terrine alongside more continental options including crispy calamari or duck à l'orange with an Asian inspired twist.

The European mix continues through the dessert menu where diners will find a mouth-watering array including classics like English poached pear, French tarte tatin or Italian panna cotta.

Set in one of Linden Hall's plush drawing rooms, The Dobson Restaurant Morpeth is opulent and elegant. Full length windows in the dining room give onto beautiful views of the manor's well-tended gardens during the day. Later the curtains are drawn to create a little haven, ideal for a romantic meal for two or an intimate dinner with friends. The restaurant is open to both guests and non-residents and there is a smart dress code which insists upon shirts for men and no torn denim.

Whilst this is, without a doubt, a fine dining restaurant, the service is never stuffy or austere. Friendly staff will be happy to help and have an astounding knowledge of The Dobson Restaurant's extensive wine list. The chefs are also happy to cater for special dietary requirements.

The Dobson Restaurant is a short drive from Morpeth, cosmopolitan Newcastle and the rugged beauty of the North East coast. At the end of a secluded driveway, the restaurant and hotel are a perfect retreat, offering fantastic food and a friendly welcome.
