Spearheaded by the talented, two AA Rosette bearing Head Chef, Kevin Hodge, the Garden View serves as a superb restaurant within an even more charming hotel, known as Newby Bridge. Situated in the rolling hills of Cumbria, besides the River Leven, the Newby Bridge Hotel is a delightful spot to visit, whether it’s to stay overnight or to simply stop by to enjoy some exquisite food.
With everything being made using organic grown fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the hotel’s own garden, guests can rest assured that their meals with be as fresh and delicious as possible. And as the Gourmet Society card is now acceptable, members who call in advance can enjoy all of this delectable fare at an excellent price.
With a dedication to keeping things forever tantalising the menu often changes, yet the dishes are always sure to be thoroughly enjoyable. This is evident straight away, as a mere handful of the starters that have been offered include the rich cauliflower risotto, enriched with a truffle oil, and the heavenly ham hock terrine, partnered with pickled radish and a wild garlic puree.
The main courses have also featured irresistible selections, such as the hearty olive, sun blushed tomato and pesto tagliatelle, complete with a rocket salad, the exemplary pan seared chicken breast, served with tender steam broccoli and a parsnip and vanilla puree, and the eclectic tuna loin, shell fish and squid ink risotto.
Catering to one and all in style, with a specially crafted menu for the younger members of the party, all are offered a warm welcome and some fantastic dishes at the Garden View restaurant at the Newby Bridge Hotel.
