This innovative restaurant is bringing a little of Hungary to hungry diners in Bournemouth. Paprika Hungarian Restaurant is a unique venture that aims to serve up top-quality authentic Hungarian cuisine in the heart of Springbourne. Being the only restaurant of its kind in the area, Paprika prides itself on the originality of its concept and the creativity of the head chef. Preparing a huge variety of dishes from his own collection of recipes – as well as traditional Hungarian recipes – diners will be thrilled to sample something a little out of the ordinary here.
For those unfamiliar with Hungarian cuisine, it is typically hearty and makes use of fresh meat and fish, as well as warming herbs, spices and seasonal vegetables. With a particular emphasis on stews and casseroles, Hungarian chefs cook up homely meals and indulgent desserts. Paprika Restaurant is no exception. The venue’s selection of dishes is varied and enticing, with delightful stews such as traditional goulash soup or lamb soup with tarragon; as well as tripe stew and mushroom paprikash. There’s also a range of meat and seafood cooked in a variety of ways, including the roast pork with sour cream, chicken breast covered in diced potato and crispy salmon on a bed of crushed potato. Vegetarians will love sampling the meat free chicken ragout with couscous, or the Provence grilled vegetables.
A relaxed dining venue suitable for the whole family, Paprika has a little something on the menu for everybody. There’s also a great range of Hungarian beers to sample, as well as a sweet dessert menu for those with a sweet tooth.
