Tempranillo sits on one of Macclesfield's historic cobbled streets, right in the centre of town. It's a relaxed and informal neighbourhood bar serving fine food and drink from Spain. Wanting to create a place that echoed a laid back Spanish life, the owners encourage their guests to drink at their leisure, grazing on tapas and enjoying the convivial atmosphere. Staff are helpful and able to give their recommendations from the menu and the venue itself is a comfortable and elegant place to settle for an hour or two.

On the Tempranillo Macclesfield menu, there's a range of delicious tapas nibbles. Meat eaters will savour dishes like chorizo cooked in cider, lentils with Serrano ham or a black pudding with herb sauce. There are lots of vegetarian options too including padron peppers, patatas bravas and creamy Manchego cheese. The boquerones (whitebait) are a particular highlight while bread and olives provide the perfect accompaniment to any combination of dishes.

The drinks menu has been created with equal care and attention. All of the wines, sherries, beers and ciders on the Tempranillo menu hail from Spain. Guests can also try a "wine flight", three small glasses served simultaneously, highlighting the diverse and delectable range of Spanish wines available.

Tempranillo is a short walk from Macclesfield rail station and lots of local buses stop close by. Located in the town centre, Tempranillo offers easy access to Macclesfield's main shopping streets. Pretty Victoria Park is just 10 minutes' walk away and Macclesfield Golf Club can also be accessed on foot.
