The Newby Bridge Hotel couldn’t offer a more picturesque location, overlooking the shore of the southern tip of Lake Windermere in the Lake District. A popular choice of accommodation for visitors to this simply beautiful part of the UK, the Newby Bridge Hotel is also a pretty fine choice for dining. Surrounded by fabulous landscaped grounds and featuring a Grecian temple for two, the Newby Bridge Hotel never fails to impress and guests can expect a warm and friendly welcome at this wonderful hotel in The Lakes.
Informal dining takes place in the lovely hotel bar, where a casual menu of hot and cold bar meals is served. Fill up on a tasty Huntsman burger served in a brioche bun with onion rings, salad and hand cut chips or tuck into a classic dish of Cumbrian gammon steal, fried duck eggs, hand cut chips and tomato relish. Desserts such as strawberry Eton mess with Chantilly cream or Bailey’s crème brulee with an oat biscuit are a real treat and round off a meal perfectly. As for the drinks, the bar serves a fine range of wine, both Old and New World, whilst there is some great local ale to sample.
Sit by the open fire, roaring with warmth during the winter time and enjoy a cosy meal under the wooden beamed ceiling of the bar at the Newby Bridge Hotel. Directly overlooking Lake Windermere, the views are simply breath-takin, making the bar a superb choice for dinner in The Lake District.
