Popadoms is a no frills Indian curry house just north west of Farnborough town centre. Established in 1996, the restaurant is a popular neighbourhood eatery, famed for its exceptional value for money and home cooked cuisine. Behind the bar, there's a great selection of beers, wines and spirits while the dining room itself is warm and welcoming with a relaxed atmosphere. The restaurant's chefs have extensive experience of both Indian and Nepalese cooking which makes for an interesting and varied menu.
The menu at Popadoms has something for everyone. It's full of well-balanced dishes, made with delicate spice blends and cooked with care. There are traditional favourites like korma, madras and dhansak curries available with chicken, lamb or prawn. Tandoori sizzlers, biryani dishes and lots of vegetarian options are accompanied by some delicious chef specials. The gurkha chicken is a medium spiced dish of chicken tikka cooked with onions and peppers, chicken kukhura is flavoured with mouth-watering Nepali spices and the chicken nashilla is seasoned with West Indian rum, coconut and almonds. Chefs will also do their best to create dishes not featured on the menu and adjust spice levels to suit each individual palate.
Popadoms is easily accessed from either junction 4 or junction 4a off the M3 motorway and there is complimentary parking on site. The restaurant is a 10 minute drive from Farnborough centre and just five minutes from both Southwood Golf Club and Farnborough Airport. For diners travelling by public transport, there's a bus stop five minutes' walk from the restaurant with routes in and out of Farnborough town centre.
