Diners can start with traditional dishes like vegetable samosa, tandoori chicken or shami kebab, whilst main courses showcase something a little different from the traditional korma and madras. Choose a sizzler dish, either tandoori – marinated in yoghurt with fresh ground spiced and a variety of herbs and cooked in a bbq clay oven – or shashlik – cooked with onions, green peppers and tomatoes – both of which are served with salad and a choice of curry sauce. Balti dishes are also available and include the Balti peshwar, Balti chicken goa or Balti chat masala.
House special dishes showcase the likes of hash bhuna – diced duck marinated with delicate herbs and spices then grilled in the tandoor and cooked with garlic, ginger, onions and tomato and garnished with coriander, or the chilli chingri masala – whole king prawns cooked in fried onions, peppers and fresh green chillies in a thick, spicy sauce. Also not to be missed are the chef’s specials, such as butter chicken – boneless chicken grilled in the tandoor and then cooked in almonds with putter and traditional spices, or the fabulous karahi shashlik. Seafood specials make an appearance on this menu too, the salmon masala features tender pieces of salmon cooked in rich and creamy almond sauce, whilst the sabzi fish includes fish cooked with mixed vegetables and medium spices and herbs, garnished with coriander.
