The Sultan Tandoori provides consistently highest quality service, food and drink to all customers, on every visit so that they leave the restaurant 100% happy and return to dine with them time after time
The Sultan Tandoori is a family owned and run restaurant that was established in 1999 on the site of the former Black Bull Public House. Following on from owning and running both a successful restaurant near Cambridge and take-away in St Ives, the owner and manager Junid established The Sultan Tandoori with the aim of bringing a new Bangladeshi and Indian fine dining experience to the town.
At The Sultan Tandoori they choose only the finest, high-quality ingredients, sourced from around the world when necessary as well as fresh vegetables from local suppliers. They promote a home style of cooking for their dishes from the regions of India, Pakistan and Bangladesh and they are one of the only restaurants locally to specialise in fish (including Bangladeshi fish) speciality dishes.
The Head Chef, Foysal Ali-Ahmed has over 15 years experience in preparing and cooking some of the finest Indian and Bangladeshi food. After joining The Sultan Tandoori in 2004 Foysal set about building a team that can provide the highest quality and consistency of food to their customers.
